Jeep has offered a 4xe plug-in hybrid on the Wrangler since 2021. On paper, it’s a beast, delivering 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, the same amount as the Hemi-powered, $100,000-plus Rubicon 392. And it also offers 21 miles of battery-only range. It’s not the most efficient PHEV out there. But it is a Jeep Wrangler that can do most Wrangler things, while knocking out commutes and short errands on battery power.
