We can haggle over some details, but most people would agree that a rear-wheel-drive coupe or sedan with a powerful V8 engine is a muscle car. Do high-powered V6s count? That depends on who you ask. But rear-wheel drive is a must-have, right? Maybe, maybe not. Still, however you want to split it, we can generally agree that Volvo never really made a muscle car. But the brand came pretty close with the second-generation Volvo S80.
