Hasbro Inc. will delay putting its Pawtucket, RI headquarters up for sale until after the company’s relocation to Boston, the Boston Business Journal reported. The toy and digital game maker is slated to move to WS development’s 400 Summer St. in the Seaport District in the fourth quarter of 2026.
Until then, the two-building complex at 1027 Newport Ave. in Pawtucket will remain Hasbro’s headquarters, the company said in an SEC filing. The complex spans about 366,000 square feet of office and industrial space. The large structure in 2023 was appraised at nearly $23.4 million, and the smaller one at around $2.2 million, reported the Business Journal.
Upon relocating to Boston, Hasbro will sublease 265,000 square feet from Foundation Medicine, where it plans to house approximately 700 employees. The relocation decision was made after Massachusetts approved a potential $14-million tax break, the Business Journal reported.
