H-E-B is adding warehouse space to keep up with its aggressive growth plans. The San Antonio-based grocer is spending $20 million to finish out a 139,000-square-foot industrial space at 6900 AWG Way in south Fort Worth.
The Dallas Business Journal reports the space is a general warehouse and storage space to support expansion across North Texas.Â
Andrew W. Booth & Associates Inc. is the design firm listed for the project, which is expected to conclude construction in 2027.
H-E-B has been expanding across DFW. This summer, the company announced locations in Fort Worth, Denton, Flower Mound and Sherman. In January, H-E-B announced its first location would be in Dallas proper.
H-E-B is the largest private employer in Texas. The company reports more than $43 billion in annual sales with more than 430 stores in Texas and Mexico.
