The Google November Pixel Feature Drop is here. The update will start to roll out to eligible Pixel devices starting today.
Google’s latest Pixel Feature Drop is packed with some seriously fun — and genuinely useful — upgrades. The highlight this time around is Remix in Google Messages, a new tool that lets you edit and reimagine any photo right inside the app. You can doodle, apply filters, or even transform an image entirely using Nano Banana, a Google Gemini-powered image generation model. And the best part? It works across devices and platforms — even in group chats. If you’re messaging another Google Messages user, you can both remix the same photo back and forth without ever leaving the conversation. It’s basically collaborative AI art, built right into your chat window.
If you’re more into aesthetics than AI, Google’s dropping something for you too: “Wicked: For Good” theme packs. Inspired by the film Wicked, these packs completely transform your Pixel’s look and feel with custom wallpapers, icons, system sounds, and even GIFs. There are three magical styles — For Good, Glinda, and Elphaba — letting you turn your phone into a mini Broadway experience with just a tap.
Updates for Notification Summaries and Pixel VIPs, too
On the productivity side, Google is making notifications a lot smarter. Notification Summaries can now condense long chat threads across multiple apps right in your notification shade, so you can catch up on the gist of a busy group chat without scrolling endlessly. And to keep you safe, Scam Detection is rolling out to Pixel 6 and newer devices in the U.S., flagging potentially fraudulent messages with a clear “Likely scam” alert before you even open them.
Lastly, Pixel VIPs are getting an upgrade too. Messages from your most important contacts will now be prioritized in your notifications, making sure you never miss something that matters. Those VIPs also get a new crisis badge in the Contacts widget — so if there’s an emergency or critical alert, you’ll know instantly.
As mentioned, this update should start rolling out today with the November security patch.
