The launch of the Gemini Enterprise app for business and enterprise Google accounts is here, and the app is available to install on devices, though you won’t find much use for it if you don’t have a business or enterprise account. That being said, business and enterprise users are likely find the app quite useful, assuming they want some AI-powered assistance with a random variety of work tasks.
“The best of Google AI, built for enterprise. Connect to company data and work with agents on the go,” the app reads upon launch.
The Gemini Enterprise app launch is merely giving users mobile access
While the app is now available as of this week, likely today, the service itself has been available since last year. Now, users simply have a more convenient way to access the service’s features, as they’ll be able to do so even while away from their desk. Since this is entirely for enterprise users, you will need an invite link to get past the splash screen. However, chances are, if you’re downloading this app, then you’re doing so because your company already has access.
When it comes to features, the app will let users do a variety of things. For example, you can ask Gemini to create a professional headshot for you for your work profiles. More than likely, you should be able to use the mobile app for just about everything that Gemini for Enterprise will allow outside of the mobile app.
As noted by 9To5Google, Google Chat is also now accessible in the Gemini app, but only for Workspace customers. At the moment, this is not available to personal Google accounts. However, if you’re on a business account, you can use Google Chat in Gemini to summarize chats and update you on topics. You’ll need to be on starter, standard, or plus tiers for business or enterprise plans. Additionally, Workspace customers who are part of nonprofits and education customers should also have access.
