Google has made the Pixel 10a official, and this might be the first time that the specs are almost 100% identical to its predecessor. Looking at the spec sheet side-by-side with the Pixel 9a, it’s hard to see where the differences are.
But we do know that there are two big differences, and that’s the screen brightness being about 11% brighter this year. It can now hit 2,000 nits in HDR and 3,000 nits in peak brightness. It also has faster charging, though it is still slower than what we have on the Google Pixel 10 Pro and Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, of course.

Google will be selling the Pixel 10a in four colors this year. The Pixel 10a colors include Fog, Berry, Lavender, and Obsidian. Gone is the typical porcelain white color that we almost always get on every Pixel device. As the Fog color is more of a pale green color, Obsidian is, of course, a black color, with the lavender being purple and Berry being a very vibrant red color. These are actually very similar to last year’s colors, with just a few differences.
The Google Pixel 10a price remains the same as the Pixel 9a price. Which is $499 for the 128GB model, and you can upgrade to 256GB of storage for $599. It’s an okay price, but keep in mind that this price point has become very competitive lately. In fact, we just reviewed the RedMagic 11 Air, which is a huge improvement over the Pixel 10a, but with the same price tag – somehow.
Of course, Google is selling this as an “AI Phone” and has a ton of great AI features included, but most people won’t use them all. Which is pretty common for new AI features.
