The Google Pixel 10a is now official, and despite some rumors stating the opposite, it’ll actually remain at the same price as the Pixel 9a. This also marks the first time in a few generations that it has not seen a price increase, though it has also barely changed from its predecessor.
Google Pixel 10a price starts at $499 for 128GB of storage, and goes up to $599 for 256GB of storage.
The Pixel 10a is largely the same as the Pixel 9a; you should not upgrade from the Pixel 9a to the 10a; you’d definitely want to have the Pixel 7a or older before considering an upgrade. It does still sport a 6.3-inch Actua display, which Google says is now about 11% brighter. It also has the Tensor G4, just like the Pixel 9a, with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Now, because of that lower RAM, it means that not all of the Gemini and AI features are available on the Pixel 10a. This was also the case for the Pixel 9a as well.
And when it comes to the cameras, something that Google Pixel is quite well-known for, there’s a 48-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera. These are smaller sensors, but keep in mind that Google’s computational photography is really good and works much better on smaller sensors versus the larger sensors on the flagship Pixel 10 series.
Pre-orders begin today, and the Pixel 10a release date should be March 4. As mentioned already, it is priced at $499, which does make it a pretty good option for those looking for something cheaper, though there is an increasing amount of competition at this price point right now.
It’ll be available from the Google Store, Amazon, and other carriers in the US. Likely including AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
