Following an exclusive leak on the Pixel 10a’s Obsidian color, as well as two more leaks showing off the Pixel 10a in Berry and what appears to be the new Lavender color, Google has now officially revealed the Pixel 10a as well as its launch date. It seemed pretty obvious that Google was going to announce this new device in the near future. That being said, it wasn’t clear when exactly that would be.
Now Google has opened up a couple of key details about the device in a short teaser trailer for the phone on its Made by Google YouTube channel. Google only shows off one color of the phone in this short video, and there are still more than a few unconfirmed details about the phone. However, at least now, there’s an official launch date.
Google’s Pixel 10a reveal confirms February 18 launch date with same-day pre-orders
Google doesn’t mention everything about the Pixel 10a in itsreveal video. What it does confirm is when the device launches with pre-orders, and at least one of the phone’s colors. There’s no mention of cost, unfortunately. That being said, consumers might be able to expect the same price Google has been charging for the A series Pixel phones for at least the last two years, which is a starting price of $499. Leaked prices for Europe put the phone at around €549.
As for the launch date, the Pixel 10a will launch on February 18 with same-day pre-orders. There is still no date for when the device will actually be available outside of pre-orders. Like past years, though, this is probably going to be a couple of weeks later. So, you might see the device shipping by the end of February or shortly thereafter. Other than the pre-order date, there’s not much else in the teaser trailer that isn’t already known about the phone. Consumers can probably expect this to be available for pre-order directly from Google, as well as through retail partners like Amazon.
