Many Pixel users simply love the At a Glance widget. In fact, many Android users love it. However, Pixel users cannot remove it from their home screens, unlike Android users that use devices from other brands. That could change soon, however, finally.
While many Pixel users love the At a Glance widget, not all are in the same boat. Some of them would love the option to remove it from the home screen. Even if you plan to continue using it, an option to remove it would surely be welcomed, just in case.
Pixel users could finally be able to remove the ‘At a Glance’ widget… soon
Well, based on a new report from Android Authority, Google is currently working on a way to make that happen. The latest Android Canary build with Android System Intelligence version B.17.playstore.pixel10.825046611 includes a toggle to make it happen. You can see it below.

You’ll notice that these are At a Glance widget options, and that one toggle says ‘Show on home screen’. You can toggle that off, and the widget should disappear from the home screen. Well, once the option becomes available, of course.
This widget delivers a ton of information to users
Now, the At a Glance widget is great, actually. It delivers a ton of information to users. Features such as the weather, air quality, severe weather alerts, earthquake alerts, upcoming events, package delivery information, flashlight status when it’s on, and more.
This widget can deliver a ton of information if you set it up that way. You can set up various toggles the way you want. The thing is, not all the information it can show is available in all regions, so keep that in mind.
We’re not sure when will the option to disable At a Glance widget become available, but it sure is coming. Google could still change its mind, but we somehow doubt it, as the option has come this far along.
