Google is taking Gemini integration in its core apps to new heights. This also includes Gmail. There’s the new “help me write” feature that offers assistance in drafting emails. Now, in the latest update, the company is adding one more “help me” feature aimed at easing things for you. Gmail gets a new Gemini-powered “Help me schedule” feature, which, as the name suggests, simplifies scheduling meetings.
Gmail gets ‘Help me schedule’ Gemini feature
Gmail’s new “Help me schedule” feature assists you when you’re planning a meeting. The next time you’re preparing to plan a meeting, you’ll see a dedicated Help me schedule button in the toolbar. If you tap the button, Gemini will scan your Google Calendar schedule and display available time slots within the compose window. This way, your schedules won’t collide.
You can edit or modify these recommended time slots. You can also view the time slots in the calendar app directly using the “View in Calendar” button. One limitation of this is that you can use it only in a two-person conversation, as it doesn’t support groups. It’s not clear if this would change in the future.

The feature is available only to paid subscribers
Once the recipient receives the email and selects a time, it adds a Calendar invite to both individuals’ calendars. Gmail’s Help me schedule feature appears to be a web-only feature at the moment. Google didn’t explicitly say if it’ll make its way to mobile apps.
The Gmail Help me schedule feature is available only to paid subscribers of Google Gemini and Workspace. Google notes that you need to be on either of these tiers to use the new feature: Google AI Pro and Ultra, Google AI Pro for Education, Workspace Business Standard and Plus, Workspace Enterprise Starter, Standard, and Plus, Workspace Frontline Plus, Gemini Business, and Enterprise.
