A report last month suggested that Google was working on a new Gemini tool for generating illustrated storybooks. The search giant has now officially released the feature for the app. Furthermore, users can bring their vision to life in any style imaginable: from pixel art to comics, clay animation, crochet, and even coloring books.
The Gemini app’s new tool can bring your ideas for storybooks to life
In a blog post, Google has announced the Gemini app’s new feature, which can bring your ideas for storybooks to life. The company said that you can simply describe any story you can imagine, and Gemini will create a unique 10-page book with custom art for your text prompt. Furthermore, the storybooks are complete with read-aloud narration and audio.
In some examples, Google mentioned that users can help their children understand a complex topic using the Gemini app’s new storybooks tool. People can create a storybook that explains the solar system to their 5-year-old kid. Additionally, they can teach a lesson through storytelling. For example, teaching a 7-year-old kid to understand the importance of being kind to his little brother.
The storybook feature supports over 45 languages
According to Google, the storybooks in the Gemini app support more than 45 languages. All you have to do is describe a story, and Gemini will whip up a 10-page book complete with AI-made art and audio. Furthermore, you can also upload your own photos and drawings to be part of a storybook. Think of creating bedtime stories starring your child’s artwork or an adventure book based on your last vacation.
The new functionality is available through the Gemini application on mobile and desktop. It is available across the globe starting today. You can check out the demo of the new feature in the video we’ve included below.
