Samsung may push Wear OS 6 to the Galaxy Watch 4. This news should bring some fresh hope for the owners of the wearable, as there was some uncertainty initially. One UI 8 Watch debuted with the Galaxy Watch 8 series recently. The update introduced some new features, especially health-related ones. Samsung looks to be expanding the new version to the original Wear OS Galaxy Watch.
Wear OS 6 may find its way to the Galaxy Watch 4
It appears that Samsung has extended the support for the Galaxy Watch 4, as the Wear OS 6 build was spotted online. The data shared by X user @Koram_Akhilesh shows Galaxy Watch 4 models running test builds of the new firmware. The firmware apparently indicates the updates are recent, as they date back just a few days.

This is an interesting development considering that at the time of the One UI 8 beta launch for the Galaxy Watches, Samsung sort of made it clear that devices as old as the Watch 5 would get the latest OS update. This left the Galaxy Watch 4, which was already on the last leg of software support, behind.
A report in this regard originally surfaced last week. This new leak now adds some weight to support the fact that Samsung is indeed working on a Wear OS 6 update for the wearable. For what it’s worth, Samsung promised only three years of Wear OS updates for the Watch 4. This may well be the last OS upgrade for it, that is, if it eventually gets it.
One UI 8 for Watch
The One UI 8 Watch upgrade brings new widget stacks, a change from the tile representation. This helps to make the UI more clutter-free. Google Gemini will also make its way to eligible Galaxy Watch devices with the One UI 8 update. However, you would need an LTE variant for Gemini to work. There’s also a Bedtime Guidance feature, which recommends the ideal time to get some rest based on the sleep and activity patterns.
