Everything points to the Galaxy S26 series arriving just around the corner. While we await official confirmation, we have an alleged date for the event: February 25th. Lately, we’ve had more rumors and news than ever about these devices, especially those related to performance. The Exynos 2600-powered model recently passed benchmarks, posting good results. Now we have updated scores for the Galaxy S26 Ultra equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip in Geekbench 6 tests.
Galaxy S26 Ultra spotted on Geekbench 6 with 4.74GHz CPU
As expected, the recorded scores place the Galaxy S26 Ultra like a beast of raw power. On the Geekbench 6 benchmark, it got a single-core score of 3,710 and a multi-core score of 11,284. These figures represent a sweet generational jump, largely driven by the high clock speeds of the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
The shared benchmark data reveals an octa-core CPU configuration designed for a good balance between efficiency and power. This processor architecture uses two distinct clusters. The primary performance comes from 2x prime cores reaching a staggering 4.74GHz. This is where the phone does its hardest work, like rendering 8K video or processing complex AI. To complement this, six performance cores clocked at 3.63GHz handle the heavy lifting for gaming and multitasking. This setup ensures the phone stays responsive even under significant load.
Stuck on 12GB RAM
The prototype captured in this test featured 12GB of RAM. This confirms that Samsung will remain conservative regarding memory for another year. Perhaps this time it’s a bit more understandable, as RAM prices are skyrocketing, though. Still, the combination of these specific clock speeds and the 11,000+ multi-core score shows a good degree of optimization.
Beyond the raw numbers, the context of the test is equally important for the global market. Typically, Samsung reserves Snapdragon chips for North America. However, seeing this chip in the Korean database suggests that this 4.74GHz power will be the standard for the Ultra model worldwide.
The device tested was running Android 16, which will serve as the foundation for Samsung’s upcoming One UI 8.5. With the official Galaxy Unpacked event expected on February 25, these benchmarks set a very high bar for the competition.
