The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro is allegedly coming early next year, and its display size and battery capacity has just been revealed… it seems. The information comes from Digital Chat Station, a well-known Chinese tipster.
The Galaxy S26 Pro will keep a compact display and size, while introducing a bigger battery
He went to Weibo (Chinese social media network) to reveal that the Galaxy S26 Pro (SM-S9420) will feature a 6.27-inch display. He also said that a 4,300mAh battery will be included on the inside.
Before we get any further, we just want to clear up some confusion. The Galaxy S26 Pro is said to replace the Galaxy S26, just so you don’t get confused by the ‘Pro’ branding. It remains to be seen if that’s true, but we’ve seen the info several times by now.
In any case, it’s good to see that the phone will remain compact. It’s also nice to see that its battery capacity will be larger than what the Galaxy S25 offered (4,000mAh). Still, this is far cry from some of the competitors.
The OnePlus 13T offers much more battery capacity thanks to a silicon-carbon battery
The OnePlus 13T, for example, has a 6,260mAh battery. That phone has a 6.32-inch display. Why the difference? Well, Samsung is not using silicon-carbon batteries, unlike OnePlus. The same practice will continue with the Galaxy S26 series, it seems.
The Galaxy S26 is also tipped to get a new camera sensor for its main camera. It’s about time that happens, and it seemingly will, based on earlier information.
With that in mind, the Galaxy S26 series will consist out of three phones, but with some changes. Instead of the Samsung Galaxy S25, S25+, S25 Edge, and S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S26 Pro, S26 Edge, and S26 Ultra are coming.
All three of these smartphones are expected to arrive early next year, most probably in January.
