The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is rumored to launch later this month, and rumors and leaks have been all over the place. We’ve shared official renders of the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, while some price-related rumors have popped up as well.
A recent rumor said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might get a price increase due to RAM costs. A new price-related rumor just surfaced, and it’s… well, kind of contrary to the previous one.
New rumor claims that the Galaxy S26 Ultra price will remain unchanged, for the most part
According to a Greek outlet, Techmaniacs, industry sources close to Samsung said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s price will remain unchanged. Well, at least when it comes to the base model, as some higher storage options may end up getting a slight price increase due to memory prices.
What about the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+? Well, their price tags have not been finalized yet, it is said. The company is against the increases and is trying to do everything to avoid them. Considering the lack of upgrades on the base and ‘Plus’ models, increasing the price may not go well with consumers.
The report does note that a slight price bump for the 256GB models and a small discount for the 512GB versions are in the cards. Do note that a 128GB storage option of the Galaxy S26 will not be offered.
Pricing rumors are all over the place
As you can see, the rumors are all over the place. One rumor is saying a price increase is in the cards, the other that it’s not. The third one says that some models may get a price increase. Either way, we’ll have to wait and see. Their prices will also be different from one market to the next.
Apple’s iPhone 17 prices are another reason why Samsung may want to stick with Galaxy S25 prices. It remains to be seen if that will be doable, though.
