If the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is sitting slightly outside your budget, don’t worry. Samsung is expected to launch the FE version of its flagship phone, which will come with a more affordable price tag. But the question is, when? Turns out, the Galaxy S25 FE could launch earlier than expected.
Galaxy S25 FE launch coming earlier than expected
During Samsung’s Q2 2025 earnings call, Daniel Araujo, VP of Samsung’s Mobile Experience division, revealed that the Galaxy S25 FE could see an earlier launch. The Samsung exec was quoted as saying, “For the Galaxy S25 series, we will focus on maintaining sales momentum with seasonal promotions as well as an earlier launch of the S25 FE.”
However, Araujo stopped short of giving us specific dates. It should be noted that Samsung usually launches its FE phones in September or October. If an earlier-than-expected launch is happening, hopefully, the phone will launch in either August or the early part of September. We’ll have to keep our eyes peeled, but it does corroborate earlier rumors that Samsung was testing the software for the phone.
So, why is Samsung moving up the launch of the phone? It is speculated that Samsung wants to spread out its product launches. The company isn’t done launching new phones for 2025. In addition to the Galaxy S25 FE, Samsung is also expected to launch its first-ever tri-fold smartphone. The company definitely wouldn’t want the handset to get lost in the mix, so pushing up the launch of other phones might be a good idea.
A potentially lackluster launch
That being said, don’t get too excited about the Galaxy S25 FE yet. According to the rumors, it might not be that great of a phone. We’ve heard that the handset is expected to pack similar internals to the Galaxy S24 FE. This means the use of an Exynos 2400e chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of base storage.
The only improvements we’ve heard are a brighter display with slimmer bezels and faster 45W wired charging. However, we expect Samsung will maintain the price of the phone. So, if the Galaxy S25 flagship phones are too expensive, maybe the Galaxy S25 FE could be worth waiting for.
