Amidst the launch of its new hardware, the Galaxy S26 series and new TWS earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 4 and 4 Pro, Samsung is keeping up with software updates as well. After the Galaxy S25 series, its foldables, and surprisingly, the Galaxy S24 FE, the South Korean giant is now pushing the February 2026 security update to the Galaxy S24 series.
The Galaxy S24 series is now getting the February 2026 update
All models in the series, the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra, are now getting a new software update. This brings the February 2026 security patch. As usual, it is rolling out first in South Korea, but it should expand to other regions shortly. However, there is no confirmed timeframe for the update in the US or other regions outside of South Korea. The update carries the firmware version S91xNKSS7EZB2 and weighs 441.78MB in size.
The February 2026 update fixes 37 key security issues present in the previous version of the OS. Among them, 25 are Android-level fixes from Google, and 12 are Samsung-specific patches for One UI. Samsung-specific fixes improve the security of the Samsung Dialer and Settings. It also includes refinements for both facial and fingerprint authentication systems.

The devices are now more secure than before
Besides these, other technical fixes target the PACM module and various system services that function in the background. The update should hit your device automatically. If it hasn’t, you can check for it from Settings > Software update > Download and install. If you still don’t see an update, it simply means that Samsung hasn’t rolled it out in your region yet.
Meanwhile, Samsung released One UI 8.5 beta 6 for the Galaxy S25 series. We might not be that far away from a stable rollout. Once that happens, the Galaxy S24 series should be next in line, followed by other models, including foldables and older flagships.
