One of the beauties of modern-day technology is the convenience of being able to lounge at home, watch TV, and play games while you have your shopping, food, and groceries delivered to you. If you use DoorDash often, then hopefully, you’re a T-Mobile subscriber because some perks are headed your way.
T-Mobile partners with DoorDash
During T-Mobile’s “Trade-offs Left The Chat” livestream, the carrier announced a partnership with DoorDash. This partnership will allow T-Mobile customers to get a free DashPass subscription. This subscription is usually priced at $10 a month, or $120 a year when purchased through the T-Life app.
According to T-Mobile CEO Mike Sievert, this free DashPass subscription isn’t limited to the carrier’s most expensive plans. It is being made available to many customers on “all popular plans,” including T-Mobile’s Magenta and ONE plans. However, the carrier did not mention anything about Simple Choice. So, we’re not sure if customers on those plans are also covered.
Also, the carrier did not mention if their version of DashPass comes with a free HBO Max subscription. Typically, DashPass comes with it. However, since T-Mobile is handing it out for free, it could be a stripped-down version that only provides users access to DoorDash perks. It’s still not a bad deal, especially if you get it for free.
T-Life app required
Unsurprisingly, you’ll need the T-Life app to access and activate this perk. If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, you should go ahead and do it now. You can find the perk within the app and apply it to your account. Remember, this freebie isn’t live yet. According to T-Mobile, it will only go live on the 8th of July, but it doesn’t hurt if you go ahead and claim it first.
T-Mobile has been trying to push its T-Life app onto customers in recent months. The carrier tried being heavy-handed with employees by forcing them to write reports if they failed to get a customer to install it. However, T-Mobile seems to be going with the carrot approach now, by offering a pretty useful perk for customers and giving them a more legitimate reason to use the app now.
