The Ford Thunderbird is one of the models in Ford’s history with the longest production run, spanning across the decades from the 1950s to the early 2000s. With a total of eleven generations to its name and countless variants and special editions, the Thunderbird has been a constant element of American car history. Modern-day Ford no longer produces personal luxury cars, of course, and hasn’t only given up on the Thunderbird, but on the regular car in general, preferring to build crossovers and SUVs. In fact, the only Ford car left is the Mustang pony car.
