A Familiar Formula, Now with an Artistic Twist
Ford has never shied away from special-edition Mustangs. There’s always something in the lineup – heritage models, track specials, or just appearance tweaks – that gives buyers a little more character than the standard car.
This time, Ford teamed up with Troy Lee Designs (TLD) to introduce the Mustang TLD Signature Edition. If you follow motorsports, you’ve seen TLD’s work – custom-painted helmets and gear that stand out in motocross, IndyCar, NASCAR, and even Formula 1. The company even collaborated with Land Rover over two decades ago and with Mazda a few years later. Now that’s range.
The goal: bring that same “Art and Speed” vibe to a Ford Mustang you can actually buy.

GT Attitude, EcoBoost Foundation
The 2026 Mustang EcoBoost Premium TLD Signature Edition starts with the four-cylinder coupe but borrows some of the V8’s attitude. Up front, it gets the hood, fascia, and grille from the Mustang GT, so it looks sharper and more serious than your average EcoBoost.
It only comes in Shadow Black, which sets the stage for the bold graphics running down the sides. Red, orange, purple, and yellow accents twist the usual pony badge and stretch across the bodywork. It looks more like something you’d see on a race car than a showroom floor.
Sinister Bronze details pull the look together. They show up on the 19-inch wheels, the grille nostrils, and the pony badge. The theme is consistent, so the package feels more complete than just a set of decals.
Inside, it’s just as bold. The cabin is all Carmine Red, which pops against the black exterior. Each car gets a numbered badge on the dash, so there’s no mistaking this for a regular Mustang.
Mechanically, the TLD Signature Edition sticks with the usual EcoBoost setup. The turbocharged 2.3-liter engine is unchanged, so you get the same accessible performance and lighter front end as other four-cylinder Mustangs.

Ordering Opens Today
Ford isn’t building many of these – just 550 units. That makes it one of the rarest appearance packages you can get on a new Mustang right now.
The TLD Signature Edition package costs $3,000, so it’s an easy way to stand out without jumping to a higher trim or chasing more power. Orders for the 2026 Mustang lineup – including this and the Mustang RTR – open March 27. Deliveries start later this year.
Meanwhile, the new Mustang Dark Horse SC, which starts at $103,490, will be available to order in April.
