Wilks Development received zoning approval in late March. Now, they are ready to announce when dirt will start moving on the Dream Hotel, a 190-room hotel they are building at the multibillion-dollar Firefly Park development in Frisco.
The Dallas Business Journal reports work on the 16-story Dream Hotel should begin in February. It’s expected to cost $129 million.
The hotel, located on the east side of Fireglass Way and Brixley Boulevard, will also feature meeting space, offices, and a restaurant. The project is part of the first phase of Firefly Park, which will also include 230 townhomes, 130,000 square feet of retail and dining space, a 25,000-square-foot amphitheater, a 1,400-space parking garage, apartments, and a wedding chapel and event center.
Wilks plans to begin construction on the retail portion of Firefly Park in October, with work expected to take about 20 months.
Wilks Development purchased the land for Firefly Park in 2015.
