This is the Oura Ring 5, which isn’t expected to launch until late 2027. But we have a first look at the new design and a few of the color options that will be available.
According to our source, Oura is replacing the ‘Rose Gold’ color with a new ‘Deep Rose’ color, which you can see here in this article. It is more of a bronze-rose color, versus gold.
It will also be available in matte black color, as well as silver and gold, which are colors that are already available for the Oura Ring 4. The Silver will be available in a glossy and a brushed option, while the matte black will likely be called “Stealth”.
The design here is a bit different from the Oura Ring 4. Where the outer portion of the ring is a bit more curved than on the Oura Ring 4. Making it look more like a regular ring, and hopefully one that won’t scratch other things as easily. Some other smart rings can really scratch your smartphone or tablet quite easily.
Oura is sticking with the same charging style
Oura will also be sticking with the same bulky charger for the Oura Ring 5, as well as the sleeker charging case. Which is great for taking with you when you are traveling.
Battery life isn’t expected to change all that much with the Oura Ring 5. Currently, Oura touts about five to eight days on a single charge with the Oura Ring 4. The bigger changes will be with the sensors and improving health tracking.
Oura doesn’t release a new ring every year; it’s more like every 3-4 years. Which isn’t a huge surprise, as there’s not a lot that needs to change with these smart rings. It mostly comes down to design, battery, and the sensors that are being used. Currently, the Oura Ring 5 is likely going to arrive in time for the holiday season next year.
