This is the new Insta360 Go Ultra. It will be the successor to the Insta360 Go 3S that was announced last year. Many were expecting the Insta360 Go 4 or 4S, but instead, the company is going with the “Ultra” moniker like a lot of other tech companies.
When compared to the Insta360 Go 3S, it does have a slightly different design, but it still has the same functionality. You can pop the camera out and attach it to your shirt, bag, or something else. It’s a pretty small 4K camera that can also get wet, as this is an action cam.
The actual camera itself is actually a square versus being a rectangle this time around, which is what we saw on the Insta360 Go 3S. Making it a bit easier to handle.
We don’t have a ton of info on this camera, but we do know that this is capable of shooting 4K at 60FPS. This is a meaningful upgrade from the Insta360 Go 3S, which was only able to shoot at a max resolution of 4K at 30FPS. This could be why Insta360 went with a different and larger shape this year for the camera.
Insta360 is keeping the flip-up screen
Insta360 is also keeping that flip-up screen on the Go Ultra, which makes it so great for vlogging on the go. Since it is a pretty small camera, it provides some really incredible footage. There are also recording lights on both the camera and the screen, so if you remove the camera and have it on your shirt or your bike while you’re riding, others can see that it is recording.
The Insta360 Go Ultra will be available in both black and white, and we do expect it to be announced very soon. With IFA right around the corner, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see it announced around the end of August or early September.
This will be your tiny 4K camera, upgraded.
