Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Specs

The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is set to debut later this Fall, likely after the iPhone 17 series. And we now have the full spec list for the upcoming device, which should be the cheapest in the Galaxy S25 lineup.

On the specs side of things here, there are not a lot of changes from the Galaxy S24 FE. The biggest one that we’re seeing here is the battery size and charging speed, actually. Samsung is surprisingly dropping the size of the battery down to 4,500mAh. It was 4,700mAh on the Galaxy S24 FE. But it is increasing the charging speed to 45W wired.

The overall size of the Galaxy S25 FE is also shrinking this year. With measurements of 161.3 x 76.6 x 7.4mm, which makes it a little over half a millimeter thinner than the Galaxy S24 FE. That is a commonality with Samsung devices this year, where most of them are now thinner than their predecessors, by a noticeable amount, too.

Samsung Galaxy S25 FE should be announced in late September

If Samsung sticks with the same release schedule as last year, the Galaxy S25 FE should be released at the end of September. The Galaxy S24 FE was announced on September 26, and released on October 3, 2024.

However, with other devices moving up this year, we could see Samsung announce the Galaxy S25 FE earlier. If Samsung were to announce it earlier, I’d expect it to be announced at IFA. Seeing as the middle part of September is owned by the iPhone release, and the last week of September is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit.

Samsung does have a press conference scheduled for IFA next month, though it is being described as all about AI, and it’s likely Samsung Electronics and not Samsung Mobile. There was also a very recent rumor stating the Galaxy S25 FE could be released in late August or early September, to back up this theory.

The Galaxy S25 FE could be something that is announced via a press release, since it is typically priced around $600.
