We’re here to provide you with your first proper look at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro. We managed to get our hands on the Galaxy S26 Pro CAD-based renders thanks to our partnership with OnLeaks.
Take a closer look at the Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro thanks to CAD-based renders
If you take a look at the gallery below, you’ll see four images of the phone. The device is shown from almost all sides here, so there’s really not much to hide. This is basically the final design of the phone, although these are not final product renders.
The phone will feature a flat display, with a centered display camera hole up top. Its bezels will be very thin, as you can see, and they’ll also be uniform. The power/lock button will sit on the right-hand side, with the volume up and down keys placed above it.
The frame of the phone will be flat, for the most part. The edges will be slightly rounded for comfort’s sake. Corners of the device will be rounded, not sharp, which is what most people prefer these days.
A large camera island sits on the back, with two cameras
If we flip the phone around, you’ll notice a rather large camera island on the back. It basically spans from the left side to the right side of the phone, and it does protrude quite a bit. Two cameras are placed inside it. They’re vertically aligned in the top-left corner.
Many of you are probably wondering why is the camera island so big when there are only two cameras in there. Are we looking at huge sensors here? Well, no, not really. The reason for this is the thickness of the phone, or should I say thinness.
The Galaxy S26 Pro is coming to replace the Galaxy S25+ & Galaxy S25 Edge, not the vanilla model
You see, the Galaxy S26 Pro is not coming to replace the Galaxy S25, not at all. Samsung is planning to release the Galaxy S26 as the vanilla model after all, despite rumors. The Galaxy S26 Pro will replace the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Edge all at once.
The Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Pro & Galaxy S26 Ultra are coming
The Galaxy S26 series dummies surfaced yesterday, and many people assumed those were the Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. It turns out that those were the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Pro, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. That is the naming scheme that Samsung will go with. So the company is effectively killing the ‘Edge’ name already.
The Galaxy S26 Pro will be even thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge
The Samsung Galaxy S26 Pro will roughly measure 158.4 x 75.7 x 5.5mm (10.8mm including the camera bump). So, at its thinnest point, it will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was 5.8mm thick.
It is also worth noting that the phone will feature a 6.7-inch display, just like the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Edge did. We’re not sure about the resolution just yet, but it will be an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Magnets will be included inside the phone with proper Qi2 support
Another tidbit that we can confirm is the fact that this phone will come with built-in magnets. Yes, just like Apple’s iPhones and Google’s recently announced Pixel 10 series smartphones. The Galaxy S26 Pro will not be Qi2 Ready, like the Galaxy S25, but it will offer proper Qi2 support with magnets and all.
That is basically everything we can confirm thus far. However, some details did pop up in rumors, so we can guess what else is coming… spec-wise. The Galaxy S26 Pro will probably be fueled by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, aka Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, depending on what name Samsung goes with.
Well, at least some models of the phone will, as Exynos could come into play in some markets. It’s too early to tell. Speaking of which, that Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 version will probably be overclocked and have the ‘for Galaxy’ addition to its branding. That was the case for years when it comes to Samsung flagships.
Samsung is expected to increase the battery capacity compared to the Galaxy S25 Edge
We’re expecting to see either 12GB or 16GB of RAM included inside the Galaxy S26 Pro, while several storage options will be available too. Samsung is rumored to increase the battery capacity from 3,900mAh to 4,200mAh, despite the fact that the phone will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge was.
The Galaxy S26 Pro is also expected to arrive with an upgraded 50-megapixel ultrawide camera. That means the 12-megapixel camera from the Galaxy S25 Edge and Galaxy S25+ will get an upgrade to 50 megapixels, which is a welcome change. It could be the same one the Galaxy S25 Ultra is using, a 1/2.5-inch camera sensor. We’re still not sure about the main camera, however.
