When it comes to American automotive history, few cars have been able to leave a lasting legacy while also continuing to be produced. Some models that were only able to manage the former include icons like the Chevrolet Chevelle, Ford Thunderbird, and the Dodge Challenger. Sure, two of those nameplates were resurrected periodically. But, in the end, they bought the farm anyway, much to the dismay of many.
