After launching the X Fold5 in June, the company appears to be working on the successor already, the X Fold6, behind the doors. If history is any clue, we should see some notable upgrades both to the design and hardware. Cluing us in on that, a new leak sheds light on the early Vivo X Fold6 specs.
Vivo X Fold6 specs may include a 200MP camera
Weibo tipster Smart Pikachu claims that the Vivo X Fold6 will get the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. This is quite a bold move considering it’s a mid-flagship SoC and may not offer the same raw performance as the Elite counterpart (Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5).
For context, the Vivo X Fold5 also employed a generation-older Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 when the Snapdragon 8 Elite was powering expensive Android phones at that time. This is probably to keep the price low while focusing on durable design, superior cameras, and offering a premium foldable experience.

The leak claims the foldable will launch in Q2 2026
Furthermore, the tipster says the Vivo X Fold6 will boast a 200MP camera sensor. However, it isn’t clear if it’ll be the main sensor or a telephoto unit. To quickly recall, the Vivo X Fold5 came with 50MP triple sensors on the back. So, this is definitely a notable upgrade. The leak doesn’t specify whether it’ll still have Zeiss optics like the previous model. The Vivo X Fold6 may feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for enhanced security.
The tipster adds that the specs are from the current testing unit. So there’s a chance the actual unit may or may not get the same hardware. Regarding the launch timeline, the Vivo X Fold6 is tipped to debut in Q2 2026, i.e, between April and June. We may see more such leaks as we move closer to the launch.
