Dreame, a Chinese tech company, is preparing to step into the smartphone industry by launching its first device, the Dreame E1. The company is well known in the country for its smart home and cleaning products. Earlier this year, the firm announced its plan to expand into the smartphone business. And now, its upcoming phone has been listed online.
Dreame Smartphone E1 appears in certification listings
Dreame’s first smartphone, the E1, has reportedly been spotted on EU Energy Label records under the model number W5110. Alongside this, a user manual linked to the same model has surfaced online, giving us additional clues about the device. According to the document, the device will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display. However, it doesn’t mention any details about the screen resolution or the refresh rate.
Further, the phone is going to pack a triple rear camera setup with a 108MP primary wide lens. In terms of auxiliary lenses, it will pack a 2MP depth and a 2MP macro camera. It doesn’t bring any extraordinary camera specifications. The document also reveals a design sketch of the device, which reveals an extra decorative lens element. On the front, it may pack a 50MP selfie shooter.
It looks like an entry or mid-range smartphone
The Dreame’s first smartphone is expected to feature an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric security. The phone is listed with an IP64 dust and water resistance rating. Moreover, the certification mentions the gadget’s 5000mAh battery capacity and 33W wired charging support.
The main star of the show appears to be its battery. The EU listings describe the battery as user-replaceable. However, the manual advises users not to attempt removal, which is contradictory. Further, the Dreame E1 is also expected to support 5G connectivity, NFC, and include a 3.5mm headphone jack, a feature that is becoming less common in newer devices.
Apart from this, there’s no information available regarding the device. Anyway, the current rumoured specifications suggest it to be an entry-level or mid-range device.
