B5 Blue Durango looks ready to play
The Dodge Durango is the rebel of the three-row SUV segment. There simply isn’t another vehicle of this kind with the Durango’s attitude and intense focus on performance—every Durango now has a V8 engine and the range is still topped by the outrageous Hellcat, with its 710-horsepower supercharged V8.
Knowing that Durango customers aren’t wallflower types, Dodge has just reintroduced a classic color to the 2026 Durango lineup. Called B5 Blue, the exuberant hue matches the Durango’s aggressive personality perfectly, while recalling its earlier use on several classic Dodge and Plymouth muscle cars.

B5 Blue was last offered on the 2018 Dodge Durango, so it returns after eight years as one of the brand’s “High Impact” Mopar paint colors. First introduced in the late 1960s and early 1970s on models like the Dodge Charger, Dodge Coronet R/T, Plymouth Road Runner, and Plymouth GTX of the period, it reappeared on the 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT8, and has come to be associated with high-performance Dodge models.
B5 Blue is a $595 option that’s offered across the entire Dodge Durango lineup for 2026, and it joins Green Machine as new exterior colors for this model year. As part of the Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak customization program, there are an astonishing seven million customization choices for the Durango.
“Adding B5 to Durango, the only three-row muscle SUV, powered by a Hemi V8 engine in every model, best-in-class towing at every trim and the ability to seat up to seven, is the perfect blend of bold attitude, family muscle and unmistakable Dodge DNA,” said Dodge CEO Matt McAlear.
One of the Most Customizable SUVs

Part of the fun of buying a new Dodge is being able to make it your own. While most three-row SUVs from mass-market brands have conservative color palettes, Dodge allows your imagination to run wild with the Durango.
As an example, the SRT Hellcat Jailbreak can be enlivened by a choice of five different stripes, including Bright Blue and Flame Red. There are five different choices for the exterior SRT Hellcat badging, six wheel designs, and three colors for the brake calipers. Hop inside, and you can choose from Laguna leather, Nappa leather, or a leather/suede combination. Demonic Red seats look as wild as they sound. There are even four unique colors for the seat belts.
Go all-out with the options, and the Durango can end up costing you almost $120,000.

An All-New Durango is Coming

As fun and relevant as the current Durango is, it’s effectively the same model under the skin as the one that arrived way back in 2010. That’s an eternity in the automotive world, so it came as no surprise when we heard that a completely new Durango generation is coming.
Expected in 2029, it will still be produced at the Detroit Assembly Complex, and Stellantis will invest roughly $130 million to update the facility ahead of the new model’s arrival. Although a hybrid powertrain option is expected, Stellantis will also stick to large internal combustion engines, a mainstay of the Durango for many years now. It should be a big step up in refinement and quality, too.
For now, the Durango soldiers on as a breath of fresh air in the three-row segment.
