More often than not, it goes without saying that a new car will depreciate and lose value quickly over its first few years on the road. There are hardly any cars that appreciate, or gain value over time, and those that do are usually desirable high-end sports cars (like some versions of the Porsche 911), exotic cars, and some classic cars.
