Stellar Energy, a company that makes cooling equipment for data centers, received a thumbs up from Denton Country for an incentive package worth $300,000. Stellar Energy is considering a 1.1-million-square-foot building known as Alliance Westport 24. The building at 15060 Blue Mound Road is within Hillwood’s 27,000-acre AllianceTexas masterplanned development.
The Dallas Business Journal reports the company has filed architectural plans and may have signed a lease with Hillwood, the owner of AllianceTexas. RGA Architects Inc. is listed as the design firm on the project.
Besides those okayed by Denton County, the Fort Worth City Council recently approved tax breaks that could be worth $2.8 million if the company meets various deadlines and requirements.
The total investment into the property would be about $79.5 million; $34 million in property improvements and $45.5 million in equipment.
Stellar could start work as early as this month and wrap up in August.
