The 36-floor Harwood Center is up for auction. The tower, only 47% occupied, is being marketed by the Dallas Capital Markets Group of Transwestern in conjunction with RI Marketplace. Bids start at $10 million and are due Oct. 15.
The Dallas Business Journal reports the skyscraper totals just over 734,440 rentable square feet. It was built in 1983, and last renovated in 1996. The tower offers multiple redevelopment opportunities, including the potential to convert it to residential or hospitality use, or repurpose it for a large corporate headquarters or similar purpose, according to the RI Marketplace listing.
The property houses the global headquarters for engineering firm Jacobs. Omnicom Management, a subsidiary of advertising and marketing holding company Omnicom Group Inc., is also a tenant.
The Dallas Central Appraisal District lists its owner as Comm 2014UBS5.
