Anchorage: While not a clinic, this event is a wonderful spot for women to gather and support each other. The Alaska Ski for Women is North America’s largest women’s cross-country ski event, with close to 1,000 Alaska women coming together to celebrate skiing in beautiful Kincaid Park. On the first Sunday in February, women of all ages and abilities- many in colorful costumes- come out to ski approximately 4 km (2.4 miles) decorated course. Anchorage: The Women’s Group program is for women who want to improve their fitness and skiing technique in a community-based group setting. They have a talented and professional team of coaches who work with smaller groups of women based on skill and fitness level. Frisco Nordic Center: Frisco, CO has two levels of skate skiing clinics. Clinics run weekly for four weeks, excluding holidays, with two hours of instruction each day. Equipment and trail pass are included in registration. Rangeley Lakes Outdoor Center at Sadddleback in ME has Ladies Day on Mondays with a half price trail pass and half price cup of soup. Ladies Ski Clinic @ Lapland Lake: A special cross country ski program for women, taught by women. January 25 Clinic – Classical Technique. February 8 Clinic – Skate Technique. Female skiers aged 18 and above, grouped by skill level, will be offered instruction during the morning session in classic technique at the January 25 clinic or skate technique at the February 8 clinic. Followed by a lunch break, where participants may bring their own lunch or buy lunch on site. The afternoon will feature a social group ski. The day concludes with a group skills review and a snack. Lapland Lake’s PSIA-certified instructors will conduct the program. Cost for the program is $70 per person and includes facility use pass. Mt. Bachelor “She’s on Skis:” Take your skate skiing to the next level and meet other women in the Nordic skiing community. They offer different “She’s on Skis” clinic options based on your ability! These six-week programs include two-hours of instruction each day the clinic meets, building upon the skills from the previous week. Participants cannot mix & match days of attendance or change to a different program level or session day once their program has started. Cost of clinics covers instruction only and does not include trail access tickets or equipment. Mt.Hood She Glides: These lessons are the perfect opportunity to participate in a supportive and inspiring beginner-oriented lesson with like-minded female identifying folks with similar abilities and comfort levels, and to make new friends! Package includes a 2-hour Group Lesson, Full Day Nordic Rentals and a Nordic Day Track Pass. This package is for ages 13 and older. Park City Nordic Betties: The Mission of the Park City Nordic Betties is to share the fun of Nordic skiing through a supportive, instructional and positive team experience. We welcome all levels. They offer 8-week programs in both skate and classic skiing. Skiers will be split into groups depending on the level they register. Clinics are offered mid-week and on Sundays. Locations are both in and around Park City and at Soldier Hollow (Heber Valley) The Betties is a skiing program, and they will always strive to find snow to ski. White Pine Touring Center: Learning to skate ski is easier than you think when you have professional instructors leading the way. Our local instructors will teach you how to work on balancing on your skis and gliding over the snow, so your technique gets stronger and smoother over the course of the clinic. This ladies-only, four-week course is a great option for those looking to jump into skate skiing. Stowe Nordic Women’s Ski Program, 2024-2025 (Dates: Dec 18, Jan 8, Jan 15, Jan 22, Jan 29, Feb 5, Feb 12, Feb 19, Feb 26, Mar 5). Weekly, Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 pm at the Trapp Family Lodge Outdoor Center.
