Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic Agency Leasing team has negotiated a 10-year, 11,215-square-foot lease for Compass Real Estate at 1401 Massachusetts Avenue NW, a new 52,000-square-foot office building on Washington’s Thomas Circle.
Transwestern’s Scott Fetterolf and Tom Hilley represented the property owner in the transaction. “1401 Mass Ave offers the placemaking experience today’s tenants expect: exceptional accessibility, intentional design, and thoughtful amenities,” said Fetterolf, a Senior Vice President at Transwestern Services. “We are pleased to partner with ownership to bring the building to 80% leased in just over a year with another recognized national tenant.”
Completed in 2024, 1401 Mass Ave is the 5-story restoration and trophy conversion of a 1950s-era annex behind National City Christian Church. Situated on Thomas Circle, 1401 Mass. Ave is ideally positioned at the intersection of 14th Street and Massachusetts Avenue, a few blocks from K Street and near D.C. restaurants and shops.
