Centurion American Development Group is making headway on a $1 billion transformation of the former Collin Creek Mall in Plano (photo). Over 500 homes has been delivered by builders at the site and company has 412 apartment units in the pipeline, awaiting permits. Once the permits are let, construction on the multifamily project can commence.
Construction is also advancing on the project’s 300,000-square-foot retail component.
When finished, the redevelopment will include the 500-plus single-family homes, 2,300 apartments and 300 senior living units. In addition, Collin Creek will feature 1.5 million square feet of office space plus retail and dining, parks, and a future hotel.
Collin Creek Mall opened in 1981 and closed in 2019.
