
Farbman Group announced the addition of Michael O’Malley, the firm’s new executive vice president of Illinois. Based out of Farbman Group’s Chicago office, O’Malley will be responsible for driving the firm’s growth strategy, deepening relationships and expanding its full-service platform across Illinois. Most recently, he served as managing director at Pearlmark, overseeing $1.5 billion in assets.
Farbman also recently announced 13 promotions across its family of organizations, including Jonathon Margolis, Sandy Eisho, Jordan Valasek, Harrison Yaldoo, Alex Harris, Jaclyn Gassman and Laura LaChapelle at Farbman Group; Alis Babi, Mario Giglio and Brandon Ben-Ezra at NAI Farbman; Joe Butler and John Doria at Huntington Construction and Zach Thomas at Apex Mechanical Solutions.
VanTrust Real Estate has promoted Anna Brown from Development Manager to Director of Development. In this role, she will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing both build-to-suit and speculative development opportunities. In addition, Alex Lord has been tapped as Director of Development Services. He brings a wealth of experience in construction and development spanning industrial, multifamily, and higher education projects.
Design and architecture practice Populous has announced the appointment of two new global roles. Gavin Houldin has joined the practice as Global Chief Operating Officer, focusing on strengthening global operations by standardizing systems and processes, leading integration efforts for acquisitions, and optimizing business and project performance. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, Teryn Hightower has also joined Populous as Head of Global M&A Integration, responsible for creating and leading a disciplined global integration strategy for Populous acquisitions.
The Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP) announced that Lauren Wilson has been named its new Chief Operating Officer, a key leadership role supporting the Park’s development and long-term operations. As COO, Wilson will lead the development and management of IQMP’s physical, financial, and organizational infrastructure, while helping implement the Park’s strategic vision across high-tech facilities, tenant services, and partnership programs.Â
Cushman & Wakefield announced the addition of Jeff Royce and Kevin O’Reilly to its Grand Rapids brokerage team as directors. Both bring decades of experience and diverse commercial real estate backgrounds to Cushman & Wakefield and will work with owners and occupiers across all major commercial real estate sectors throughout Western Michigan in their new roles.
