The Center for Craft is now accepting applications for the 2026 Craft Archive Fellowship, offering four $5,000 awards to support research on underrepresented craft histories in the United States.
The fellowship is open to a range of scholars — from emerging to established, including independent and artist researchers — to conduct archival research on feminist, intersectional, queer, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, Asian American and Pacific Islander, and other nondominant craft histories. Fellows will have the opportunity to engage in both conventional and innovative archival research, culminating in a special feature in Hyperallergic and a virtual program hosted by the Center for Craft in September 2027.Â
Three of the Craft Archive Fellowships will be named the Ayumi Horie Award, the Sara Clugage Award, and the Gallaher Family Award. Additional awards may be named by contacting give@centerforcraft.org.
An information session will be held virtually on April 7, 2026, from 5 to 6 pm (ET). The session is free, but registration is required. Register here.
Application Deadline: May 20, 2026
