Everyone loves reading about sports cars and supercars, their mad performance figures and ludicrous prices are far more of a conversation piece than the average MPG you get on the school run in your minivan. But most people have far more humble daily drivers, and the purchase price and running costs influence our vehicle choice more than any other factors.
