A company affiliated with Goose Property Management has bought an industrial site at 264 Butler St. in Brooklyn’s Gowanus neighborhood for about $15.3 million, the New York Business Journal reported. The Brooklyn-based residential developer entered a contract to acquire the site in fall 2024.
Domal Transportation Inc. had owned the site since 1980. Plans to demolish the building at the site were filed earlier this year.
The industrial building is located within the Special Gowanus Mixed-Use District, created in 2021 to spur residential development in the neighborhood. The site is located next to another 13,000-square-foot property at 172 3rd Ave. that a Goose Property affiliate acquired in November 2024 for $22 million, reported the Business Journal.
Goose Property Management has also been involved with properties nearby in Downtown Brooklyn, recently opening the housing lottery at 570 Fulton St. and acquiring another site at 60 Fulton St. in 2022.
