The BMW N20 engine is a different motor for different people. For some, it’s an engine that represents the start of the downsizing era for BMW, and one that can have catastrophic and expensive engine issues. To others, it’s a good engine that set up the next generation of BMW motors, like the B48 iteration of the beloved 3 Series.
