It may be as subtle as a sledgehammer, but the unapologetically bold BMW X6 is still relevant today, close to 20 years after it helped popularize the coupe-SUV look—known to BMW aficionados as the sports activity coupe. In a J.D. Power study from earlier this year, the X6 ranked as the most satisfying vehicle to own, so owners are clearly happy with them.
If you have an affection for sporty, powerful luxury SUVs, BMW has just dropped a pair of lease deals for the 2026 X6, applicable to both the xDrive40i and potent M60i derivatives. Here’s a look at what they’ll cost you.
This Month’s BMW X6 Lease Deals

BMW
The BMW X6’s lease price for November starts at $1,039 per month for the xDrive40i model. Based on a 39-month term and with $7,069 due at signing, the deal excludes tax, license, title, registration, and any dealer fees. This BMW X6 lease offer includes 32,500 miles, but you’ll be liable for a fee of $0.30/mile if you exceed this limit. As part of the deal, certain customers who have owned or leased a BMW over the last 12 months will qualify for a loyalty credit of $2,000. This lease deal requires that you take delivery by December 1, 2025.
If you’re interested in the V8-powered M60i, the monthly cost rises to $1,299, with $8,129 due at signing. All other terms of this lease are the same as for the xDrive40i model. This lease for the BMW X6 may not be available in your area, so we recommend visiting BMW’s website to confirm the deals in your location.
If these BMW X6 lease offers don’t tempt you and you’d rather purchase one, it’ll cost you $76,400 for the base model and $96,900 for the M60i. The base model is over $6,000 pricier than the equivalent X5, which has an identical powertrain.
BMW X6 Powertrain and Features

The non-M BMW X6 has a pair of exemplary powertrains. In the xDrive40i, you get a 3.0-liter turbo six-cylinder producing 375 horsepower and 398 lb-ft of torque. Paired with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic, this model is good for a swift 0-60 mph time of just 5.2 seconds. If you never drive the V8 model, you’re unlikely to want more power than this.
The M60i turns up the heat with a 4.4-liter turbocharged V8 producing 523 hp and 553 lb-ft. It shaves a full second off the 0-60 sprint and adds a throaty roar to proceedings, but the gas mileage is the price to pay. An M Sport exhaust system, M Sport brakes, and M Sport differential enhance this model’s on-road performance.
At over $75k, the X6 is not cheap so gets an almost full house of standard equipment. The base model gets the following features as standard:
- Four-zone automatic climate control
- SensaFin imitation leather upholstery
- Powered and heated front seats
- Powered steering column
- BMW Curved Display (12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 14.9-inch touchscreen)
- Active blind-spot detection
- Automatic parking assistant
- Lane-keeping assistant
- Sky Lounge Panoramic Roof
The M60i includes all this, in addition to a Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front seats, and a head-up display.
Final Thoughts
BMW is embarking on an all-new era of design and innovation with the recently launched iX3. Its design language and control interface are expected to be mirrored across BMW’s entire range, but in the meantime, the X6 is a reassuringly familiar package. From its aggressive design to its plush, tech-filled interior, it’s a proven SUV that’s great to drive.
The X6 is hardly the cheapest new vehicle to buy or lease, but it’s a clear cut above more basic Bimmers, and it’s no surprise that owners are happy with it.
