Black Shark is preparing for the global launch of an upcoming gaming tablet that seems likely to launch sometime this year. The company hasn’t shared a price or an exact launch date, but it does now have the tablet listed globally, and it appears that this includes the US in terms of regional availability.
The Black Shark Gaming Tablet (that’s the official name) was initially unveiled in 2025. At the time of its reveal, Black Shark hadn’t shared all the details about the tablet. Following its global listing, the company is sharing a full suite of specs and features. This includes how big a battery it has, what chipset it’s using, how much storage you have for games, and more. Anything you could want to know about this device, save for its cost and launch date, is up for grabs.
Gaming tablets have seen a bit of a growth spurt in the past year, with the launch of the Legion Tab from Lenovo and REDMAGIC’s Astra. The Black Shark offering is probably a lot like those. However, it does seem to have some drawbacks.
The global launch of the Black Shark Gaming Tablet is likely just around the corner
Black Shark putting the tablet up as a global listing probably means that a launch is not too far off. That’s likely good news for mobile gamers who want to get into a tablet at a cheaper cost. Black Shark is typically known for being more affordable. While there isn’t a confirmed price, consumers shouldn’t expect it to be too high. For one, Black Shark is using a two-year-old chipset. Specifically, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3.
In terms of the rest of the specs, it has an 8.8-inch 2560 x 1600 display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display also has a peak brightness of 600 nits. It’ll come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, and a 7,300mAh battery that Black Shark says should last up to 5.6 hours while gaming. Black Shark will offer the tablet in Black or Silver.
