OPPO also confirmed the name of the upcoming device at the same time, it will be called the OPPO Find X8s. We’re not sure if it will launch outside of China, while it’s expected to include a 6.31-inch display. It will also ship with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip, most likely.
OPPO has decided to tease its upcoming compact flagship. The teaser comes from the OPPO Find series Product Manager, so it’s as official as it can be. It’s focused around the phone’s bezels, actually.
OPPO’s compact flagship poses next to iPhone 16 Pro Max, showing us how thin its bezels are
If you check out the image below, you’ll see the OPPO Find X8s sitting next to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The focus is on their displays and display bezels. The iPhone 16 Pro Max has extremely thin bezels, but the ones on the OPPO Find X8s will be even thinner.
The bezels will also be uniform, of course. Zhou Yibao did say that the bezels will be 1.XXmm thick, but based on rumors, they’ll be only 1.38mm thick. It remains to be seen if that is the exact number, though.
Zhou Yiboa did flat-out say that this is the OPPO Find X8s, so its name has been confirmed too. The phone’s display is rumored to measure 6.31 inches in diagonal, as this will be a compact smartphone.
That is also kind of visible in the provided image. The iPhone 16 Pro Max’s display is notably wider in comparison. We’re still not sure if this smartphone will make its way to markets outside of China, though.
We’re not sure if the phone will launch outside of China or not
OPPO did launch the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro outside of China, but that doesn’t mean this phone will get the same treatment. In fact, even the OPPO Find X8 Ultra flagship, which is coming, could remain exclusive to China.
This compact phone is expected to utilize a 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner. MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 SoC or the Snapdragon 8 Elite will fuel it.
A 5,700mAh battery is rumored, as is 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. The phone will have three cameras on the back, while a new customizable button is expected to be utilized to replace the alert slider.
