If you think you’ve seen it all when it comes to projectors, then you haven’t seen the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro that the company announced at IFA 2025 this past week. Projectors are generally meant to be a stationary thing. Or at least, thought of as one. Not something you carry around with you anywhere you like, and with so little effort. Soundcore dreamt up a projector that doesn’t place limits on your capability to enjoy a good movie whenever or wherever you like, and that’s why the Nebula X1 Pro is such an exciting product, that we had to give it the Best of IFA 2025 award.
It is worth noting that this isn’t the first Nebula projector to hit the market, but it is the most unique. The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro is the result of wishing there was a projector out there that made it incredibly easy to enjoy your favorite movies. At first glance, you might not know this is a projector. It looks more like a rolling piece of luggage or a giant party speaker. However, it’s neither of those things. It comes with a telescopic handle you can extend to roll it around when needed. This makes it easy to move it from location to location. Everything else is basically hidden, too. So, when it’s not in use, it’s a more organized setup that can be stowed away.
The Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro hides a 7.1 spatial sound setup in plain sight
This might be our favorite thing about the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro. Instead of just having some built-in speakers, the Nebula X10 Pro hides an entire 7.1 spatial sound system in the projector unit. Once you power on the device, the speakers fold out automatically. You can then remove them and place them around your viewing space for the spatial audio.
The speakers support Dolby Atmos as well, ensuring an incredibly immersive audio experience no matter what you’re watching.
One cable powers this entire thing
A normal home theater surround sound setup would have tons of wires, and it’s just not something you want to deal with sometimes. This is what truly makes the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro such a magical device. One cable powers the entire thing. A tiny door opens up to reveal the extendable and built-in power cable. Just plug that in and you’re almost ready to go. Power it on, and then the four speakers can come out and be completely wireless.
As are the microphones that come with the projector for using it as a Karaoke machine. You also get a remote for controlling everything, and it runs on the Google TV platform, so you can access all of your favorite streaming apps. These are the main reasons why we decided to give the Soundcore Nebula X1 Pro the Best of IFA 2025 award.
