Bally’s Corp. has bought the development site for its new casino in the Bronx. The casino giant paid $157 million to buy 500 Hutchinson River Pkwy., formerly a Trump Organization-owned golf course, from the city, the New York Business Journal reported.
Under the deal, Bally’s will make capital improvements to Ferry Point Park and Ring Road. The company will invest $161 million to build new paths, trails, soccer fields and a playground while improving the existing sports fields and park area, reported the Business Journal.
Bally’s Bronx, one of three downstate projects that received gaming licenses at the end of 2025, is expected to be completed in 2030. The three-million-square-foot casino development will have a 500,000-square-foot gaming hall, 500-room hotel, retail space, 2,000-seat event center and two parking garages. The other two approved projects, from Resorts World and Mets owner Steve Cohen, will be located in Queens.
