
Avison Young has arranged a full floor, 41,929-square-foot office lease on behalf of NinjaTrader Group, LLC at 222 North LaSalle Street in Chicago, Illinois.
The lease expands the fintech company’s footprint within Chicago for the third time—in 2021 NinjaTrader left 6,471 in River North to take 19,581 square feet in 222 North LaSalle, then expanded by 6,626 square feet in 2023, and now will occupy the full 4th floor. NinjaTrader was represented by Avison Young’s Chris O’Leary and Jeff Lindenmeyer, both principals. The landlord, 222 NLS Properties, LLC, was represented by Tishman Speyer.
“Office leasing in Chicago is showing strong signs of resilience, with major tenants finalizing deals in late 2024 and into the early part of this year and average lease sizes increasing for the first time since the pandemic, and NinjaTrader’s expansion is a big part of this momentum,” said O’Leary. The property at 222 North LaSalle contains a total of 1,018,838 square feet within 27 floors, offering high-end amenities, four restaurants, and proximity to the Riverwalk.
