Sixth and Guadalupe, Austin’s first and tallest mixed-use vertical tower, is completed. It includes 349 luxury apartments on top of 589,000 square feet of office space and ground-floor retailers.
Kairoi Residential developed the apartments, which make up the top half of the building. The apartments range between 600 and 1,600 square feet. Lincoln Property oversaw office construction. Gensler designed the building, which is the city’s tallest tower to date. It is 865 feet tall.
In a press release, lead designer Gensler says the tower is essentially three buildings stacked on top of one another, visually threaded together with a single column of glass from grade to crown. The Texas Capitol view corridor shapes the buildable area of the tower and the outdoor amenities that take in the view of the historical dome and the surrounding lakes and hills.
