Audi Could Be Developing A Rugged SUV To Rival The Mecedes G-Class

Audi may be preparing to launch a rugged SUV to take on luxury-segment rivals such as the Land Rover Defender and Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The brand’s former design chief, Marc Lichte, first hinted at the possibility in 2023, noting that there’s room for such a vehicle since only those two models currently occupy that niche. Now, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner has dropped new hints that an Audi off-roader could be in development.
