Atlanta Beltline Inc. (ABI) is planning to build 520 apartments, 180,000 square feet of light industrial space and 54,200 square feet of commercial space on vacant land near Pittsburgh Yards. ABI purchased the 13.7-acre site in 2023 for $13.3 million.
The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the adaptive-reuse project at 356 University Ave. includes the Nia building, a former trucking terminal with an amphitheater, workspaces and conference rooms. Multiple businesses operate out of the development, which is adjacent to the Beltline’s Southside Trail.
At least 30% of the units planned for the Pittsburgh project, as well as a portion of the commercial space, would be rented at affordable prices.
Yesterday, ConnectCRE reported that Abebe Ventures is planning to build over 3,000 units near the Beltline in the Capital View neighborhood.
